Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Pleasanton, CA (On-site)

Employment Type: Interim Assignment

Pay Range: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator with at least one year of hands-on HR or administrative experience to support day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is well-suited for an early-career HR professional who already understands core HR processes and is ready to contribute immediately.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide operational and administrative support to the HR team, including:

  • Maintaining accurate employee data across multiple HRIS systems and communicating updates to relevant departments
  • Coordinating background checks and supporting I-9 audits to ensure compliance with E-Verify requirements
  • Assisting with onboarding activities, including new hire documentation, memos, and internal communications
  • Providing administrative support such as form completion, correspondence preparation, and mail distribution
  • Managing HR logistics, including scheduling meeting spaces and coordinating catering for departmental events
  • Communicating effectively with HR team members to escalate issues and support timely resolution
  • Assisting with HR projects and additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • At least 1 year of HR or administrative experience (internships or contract roles accepted)
  • Prior experience supporting onboarding and/or completing I-9 documentation (preferred)
  • Experience with HRIS systems or HR data entry (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment
  • Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills
  • HR certifications a plus
